Parties

Thank you for your interest in the Long Island Live Steamers for your party!  

Time slots

10:30am-12:30pm  OR  1pm-3pm

Each party is strictly two hours each. For both time slots, please respect the other; exit and enter accordingly.  

Suggested Donation

There is a $350 suggested donation. We accept cash, Zelle, check or money order, made out to “Long Island Live Steamers”. 

Wrist Bands:

Each person in the party will be issued a wristband to wear entitling them to unlimited rides on the GROUNDLINE only for the two hour duration of the party. The members of a party must leave the train at the end of each ride and stand on line for the next ride. 

Arriving Day Of:

On the day of your party, please check in with Ticket Booth to receive your wristbands and table location. 

General Constraints: 

  • Maximum of 4 tables per party in a reserved, uncovered area.  
  • Limit of 50 people maximum per party. 
  • NO Balloons are permitted as per the Suffolk County Parks Dept. to protect the wildlife from the balloons escaping or breaking with balloon pieces left behind.
  • Each individual is still subject to safety rules and operational conditions. 
  • Please clean up after your party by putting your garbage in trash bags or cans.  We take our role of being the guardians of the park foliage and animals seriously.
  • We can not control the forest.  We will not know until the day of if we will be open.  There is no outdoor covering in case of inclement weather, you will be allowed to re-book if a future date is available. 
  • Food and beverages are allowed in the party area. Please bring a cooler for anything that needs to be kept cold, as we are unable to share our fridge. Alcohol is not permitted on our premises. 

Train Requirements:

  • All children must be able to walk independently without any adult assistance (including fingers) to ride the Groundline trains. We ask that pregnant women refrain from riding. 
  • No running heading toward the trains. 
  • No small children or babies can ride, if they can not sit on the bench of the riding car.  No sitting on laps or being in baby carriers is permitted. 
  • We blow horns and the noise level at the station can be loud.  If your child is sensitive, please bring earplugs or alternate protection
  • No phone or camera usage is permitted while the train is in motion (videos, camera phones, texting, phone calls).
  • No dragging feet; all feet must remain on the car’s footboard. No touching the trees or bushes, or trying to touch the ground. 
  • If our safety spotters see an issue the train will be stopped. If it continues, the person(s) can be removed from the train.
  • You may ask the Station Master to take pictures of your group in the station.
  • The Highline (above ground train) has a height requirement to be allowed to ride. All children will be measured before purchase of blue Highline tickets, which are of limited availability for the morning session and afternoon session and is not included in the party agreement.
